The front skirt and end caps ready for mounting. On the end cap on the left you can see the two recessed holes for the lag bolts that will hold the end caps on to the bench. On the front skirt you can see (a) at left, the leather facing that will act as one jaw of the tail vise; (b) rows of 3/4" round dogholes down the toop and front of the skirt (with a Lee Valley "benchpup" mini-dog sticking out of one hole); and (c) slot at the righthand end to accommodate the Record face vise.
